Job summary

DK Motor Sdn Bhd is seeking a Financial Assistant to support the finance team in daily accounting, budgeting, and reporting tasks. The role involves maintaining internal controls, handling cash flow and budgeting activities, and assisting with audits.

You will liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing & enforcing internal control policies & procedures.
• Assist in cash management and finance planning & reporting.
• Process supplier payments and staff expense claims according to company policy.
• Submit financial reports to Management including cash flow projections & budget control.
• Support budgeting/forecasting and monitor financial performance vs budget.
• Assist audit preparation and coordinate audit work (internal & external).
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, and company secretaries.

Job description

Responsible to assist in all financial matters of the company which includes accounting, budgeting, statutory reports, taxation and audit related function. Also, to assist in implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company financial assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in establishing & enforcing internal control policies & procedures to improve the company financial and accounting systems. Also, assist in the SST compliance in term of existing systems and enhancement of operational process.
• Assist in the company cash management and assist the finance team in improving strategic initiatives, planning & reporting. Assist in performing and managing day to day financial transaction, weekly cash flow and operation budgets to ensure good credit control and to maintain strong cash flow.
• Assist in processing payments for suppliers and staff claim expenses in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.
• Assist in the timely submission of all financial reports to the Management including analysis of financial & accounting information, cash flow projections & budgetary control.
• Assist the Management in the budgeting and forecasting activities and assist in monitoring the financial performance of the company against budget & assist in implementing action plans on cost reduction programs. Also assist in identifying and resolving operational issues relating to the account and admin divisions.
• Assist in the financial audit preparation and assist in coordinating the audit work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Further responsible to assist in the implementation of agreed upon recommendations resulting from the audit findings.
• Assist in liaising with the auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, company secretaries and other relevant authorized and government parties.
• Assist in the updating of daily sales report, keying-in of all new car's sales order, to monitor on all new car's registration including ensuring that all payments are collected in full, before releasing of any new cars to the customers.
• Assist the Finance Director in any other ad hoc assignment as and when necessary.
• Maintain good housekeeping and up-keep of the work place, according to standard set by company.
