Job summary

Yara International (M) Sdn Bhd is offering a Finance & Accounting Intern position based in Pulau Indah, Klang. The role includes handling accounts payable, supplier payments, reconciliations, fixed asset duties, and supporting audits and month-end close.

The internship targets students pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor in Finance/Accounting or currently pursuing.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical knowledge in Finance and Accounting operations.
• Basic computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with data and numbers.
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently or in a team.
• Based in Pulau Indah, Klang.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable activities including invoice receipt and posting.
• Assist in monthly creditor reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly Bank reconciliation.
• Assist in monthly supplier payments.
• Assist in fixed asset listing, monthly depreciation, and year-end asset counts.
• Assist with external audits and tax reporting.
• Assist in month-end closing reporting.
• Maintain records with systematic filing.

Job description

As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will:

To be responsible for all accounts payable activities including invoice receipt and posting it into the accounting system.

To assist in perform monthly creditor reconciliation.

To assist in perform monthly Bank reconciliation.

To assist in prepare monthly suppliers payments.

To assists in maintenance of fixed asset listing and monthly depreciation, as well as Year End fixed asset physical sighting and counting.

To assist in external audits and tax reporting.

To assist in month end closing reporting.

Ensure proper maintenance of records and filling in systematic and timely manner.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

Possess or currently pursuing a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting related majors and require an internship placement.

Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop practical knowledge in Finance and Accounting operation

Possess basic computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with data and numerical information.

Are self-motivated, responsible, trustworthy, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Are willing to be based in Pulau Indah, Klang.

Monthly Allowance: RM1,200

Transportation Allowance: RM300 per month

Commencement Date: To be discussed

Internship Availability: Available for a 6-month internship, or a 3-month internship with an immediate start date. Alternative arrangements can be discussed.

Annual Leave: 1 day per month

Medical Leave: 14 days for the entire internship period

Working days & hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
