Job summary

Upscale Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance/Accounting professional to support daily transactions (AP, AR, GL) and maintain full-set accounts. You will prepare monthly statements, assist with budgeting and cash flow analysis, and help with month-end/year-end closings.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and exposure to tax/audit processes. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers full-time employment with standard corporate benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Good understanding of AP, AR, GL, financial reporting and basic accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of cash flow management, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Exposure to full-set accounts, taxation and audit is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily finance and accounting transactions including AP, AR and GL.
• Assist in maintaining full-set accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, outstanding receivables, payments and account balances.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, tax submissions and statutory compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant external parties when required.
• Assist with SST, tax matters and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Maintain proper financial records, supporting documents and filing systems.
• Perform other finance, accounting and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
