Job summary

Wevo System Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Technician on a 24-month contract to support project deployments across the Southern Region of Malaysia. The role requires extensive travel across Johor and nearby states and occasional standby after office hours to handle urgent issues.

Responsibilities include installation and software configuration, preventive and corrective maintenance, on-site support, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, telecom, networking or related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in installation, deployment and technical support.
• Willingness to travel across Johor and surrounding Southern states.
• Ability to work independently and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy systems including physical installation and software configuration.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and network optimization.
• Provide on-site technical and admin support, liaising with clients and telecom providers.
• Prepare technical documents, such as system configurations and inventory records.
• Produce service reports of site visits and completed work.
• Adhere to SOPs and report via ERP systems; standby after hours as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a Field Technician on a 24-month contract basis to provide technical support and manage project deployments across the Southern Region of Malaysia. The successful candidate must be willing to travel extensively across Johor and other surrounding states within the Southern Region. The role also requires availability for standby duties, including after office hours, to attend to urgent and critical technical issues whenever necessary.

Installation and deployment which including physical installation, software configuration and peripheral setup.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance including Routine Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Repairs and Network Optimization.

Provide technical Support and administration support including on-site support, acting as the technical liaison between the client and telecom service providers as well as perform administrative changes such as managing the user extensions, modifying IVR, and etc.

Prepare documentation and reporting including technical documents such as records of system configuration, call flow diagrams, and inventory lists.

Adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists for daily technical operations.

Providing service reports regarding site visits, completed work, and pending issues on ERP system and daily technical.

Requirements:

At least diploma/degree in IT, Telecom, Networking or related field

1–2 years experience in installation, deployment, project environment and technical support

Knowledge in system setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and network optimization

Familiar with technical documentation and reporting

Able to follow SOPs and work independently

Must willing to travel

Possess own transport and driving license (At least car license)
