Job summary

KONE Malaysia is seeking a Service Technician to join the Service Maintenance team in Georgetown. You will attend fault calls, perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on escalators and elevators as part of a small Field Service Specialists group.

With a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the elevator/escalator industry and a basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, you will build strong customer relationships, report work in real-time, and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in elevator and escalator industry.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Possesses a service mindset.
• Willing to travel.
• Own transport and a valid motorbike license.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic digital skills to use KONE systems on mobile.

Responsibilities

• Carry out any work that's related to lift maintenance.
• Responsible for accurate and real-time back reporting of work performed to ensure accuracy of customer notification.
• Responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with customers.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation in collaboration with other Field Service Specialists.
• Manages daily workload with minimal assistance from Supervisor.
• Effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure safety at all times.
• Depending on seniority, you may be required to give training/coaching to persons nominated by the supervisor.
