Job summary

KONE Malaysia is seeking a qualified Service Technician for its Service Maintenance team in Petaling Jaya. You will handle fault calls, perform elevator and escalator maintenance, and support ongoing service runs while liaising with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in the elevator/escalator industry, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a service mindset. Willingness to travel and own transport with a valid motorcycle license are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in elevator/escalator industry.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Service-minded with customer focus.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport with motorcycle license.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using KONE mobile apps.
• Able to operate using KONE systems on a mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lift maintenance tasks and related activities.
• Accurate real-time reporting of work performed to update customers.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and installation in collaboration with other field service specialists.
• Manage daily workload with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Ensure safety at all times.
• Provide training or coaching to nominated personnel, depending on seniority.
