Job summary

KLA is seeking a field service engineer to support troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of semiconductor capital equipment at customer wafer fab facilities. The role involves diagnosing complex issues, coordinating schedules, and providing technical training to customers.

Candidates with a relevant engineering degree and willingness to travel on short notice are encouraged, with entry-level candidates considered. Overtime and transport allowances are available as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Good interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.
• Shows initiative and can work independently.
• Ability to work overtime and travel at short notice (transport allowance, overtime work is compensated).
• Experience on semiconductor capital equipment is an advantage.
• Candidate with no prior experience can be considered for entry position.

Responsibilities

• Field service activities associated with troubleshooting, diagnostic and repairing highly complex equipment at customer wafer fab facility.
• Resolve installation and upgrading problems.
• Coordinate equipment schedule to minimize system downtime.
• Conduct customer orientation and technical training on all aspects of equipment maintenance support for user application.
• Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring problems.
