Job summary

Lam Research seeks a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, relocate and service semiconductor equipment at customer sites across multiple regions. You will perform start-up, commissioning and on-site diagnostics, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will travel domestically and internationally, support field modifications, ECOs, and Tier 2 qualifications, while maintaining detailed service logs and parts usage records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and learn/grow with the company.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to support short term, overseas assignment.
• Able to travel frequently domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or relocate equipment at customers’ sites and perform start-up and check-out on newly installed systems.
• Provide warranty tool support or paid service; perform on-site preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques to eliminate malfunctions and perform diagnostics to isolate problems; replace defective units as needed.
• Implement field modifications or ECOs and carry out Tier 2 process qualification work.
• Prepare and maintain logs, service records, part usage, and diagnostic updates.
