Job summary

Kosmic Technologies in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a skilled field service engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain customer-site equipment and systems. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related issues and provide timely on-site support.

Travel to customer sites locally or overseas when required, document service reports, train operators when needed, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments to resolve

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to service schedules and requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related equipment issues.
• Respond to customer service requests and provide timely technical support.
• Perform equipment inspection, testing, calibration, and functional verification.
• Provide on-site technical support and resolve equipment breakdowns effectively.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, troubleshooting reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate with customers to understand technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments to resolve technical problems.
• Support equipment installation, modification, upgrading, and improvement projects.
• Provide technical guidance and basic training to customers or operators when required.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist in spare parts identification and replacement when necessary.
• Ensure all service activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Travel to customer sites locally or overseas when required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or management.
