Job summary

TKR Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Service Engineer for Oilfield Fishing Equipment & Services to plan, prepare and supervise downhole fishing operations, assess fish conditions and develop recovery strategies.

The role requires five years of relevant experience, a mechanical/petroleum engineering background, and English plus Bahasa Malaysia. You will work at rig sites, ensure tool readiness, document results and support client requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree/Master/PhD in Mechanical, Petroleum, Drilling or related engineering.
• Experience: Minimum five years in oilfield fishing equipment and services.
• Language: English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Technical: Strong knowledge of catch mechanisms, overshots, spears, grapples, jars and debris-recovery tools.

Responsibilities

• Review well schematic and conditions to plan recovery strategy.
• Design and verify fishing tool assemblies and BHA limits.
• Lead rig-site execution including tool make-up and running operations.
• Prepare final technical reports and support tenders and client presentations.
• Maintain tool traceability, quality control and post-job reviews.
