Job summary

Vision RT Ltd. is seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. Install, configure, commission, support, and maintain Vision RT products at customer sites across the ASEAN region, with up to 90% travel.

The role requires travel, on-site work in hospital environments, strong Windows and networking knowledge, and a customer-focused approach. Based near Kuala Lumpur, you will interact with global teams and deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows OS configuration, device management and security settings.
• Experience diagnosing software, OS and hardware issues in customer-facing environments.
• Solid networking knowledge: IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, ports.
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity with ping, tracert, ipconfig, remote tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
• Solid PC hardware knowledge: component replacement and peripheral setups.
• Experience delivering remote and on-site technical support.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple locations.
• Ability to read installation/maintenance documentation and follow procedures.
• Proactive, results-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, support, and maintain Vision RT products at customer sites.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support and diagnose issues.
• Perform maintenance, upgrades, and product enhancements to maximise performance.
• Configure Windows-based systems and devices.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity with customer IT teams.
• Maintain service documentation and logs.
• Travel within ASEAN region for installations, maintenance, training.
• Work safely in hospital/clinical environments with PPE.
• Occasional weekend work and short-notice travel.
• Interpret technical docs and follow procedures.
• Build strong relationships and deliver high level customer service.
• Lead with proactive, customer-focused approach.
