Job summary

EP Forklift Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Service Engineer in Shah Alam to maintain and service forklifts and material handling equipment. You will diagnose, repair and service mechanical systems, ensuring reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering, equipment maintenance, or forklift servicing.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel and petrol engines, and power transmission in forklifts.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, hand tools and workshop machinery.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of regulations and best practices for industrial equipment maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on forklifts and material handling gear.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Repair and replace hydraulic components, engines, transmissions and assemblies.
• Maintain thorough service records and documentation for all work.
• Respond quickly to service calls with on-site troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment life.
• Explain repair work and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer specs.
• Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and report findings.
