Job summary

CHUNGHWA TELECOM MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers in Penang and surrounding areas.

The role involves on-site factory support and remote troubleshooting, with hands-on work in enterprise IT environments. You will perform fault diagnosis, installation and maintenance of IT equipment, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure service quality. Travel to customer sites is required as needed, and multilingual communication (Mandarin, English, Bahasa

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
1–3 years experience in IT support, field service, or technical support.
Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
Willing to travel to customer sites / factories when required.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Able to communicate in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
Basic knowledge of networking, servers, or IT infrastructure (preferred).
Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support at customer factories and offices.
Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for IT systems, networking equipment, and related infrastructure.
Provide remote technical support when on-site support is not required.
Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Coordinate with internal technical teams to resolve issues.
Ensure support activities meet customer service standards.
Prepare service reports after each support activity.
