Job summary

NTT DATA in Malaysia is seeking a Cross Technology Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L2) to provide second-line remote and on-site technical support to clients.

You will manage incidents, diagnose problems, coordinate with client IT teams and vendors, and ensure SLA targets are met through proactive resolution.

This role requires strong communications, collaboration tech experience, and a bachelor’s degree in IT or computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Professional level certifications in Data Centre technologies (Cisco, NetApp, EMC/DC).
• Professional level certifications in Networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5).
• Collaboration certifications such as CCNP Collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, test and operate client-site infrastructure.
• Install and configure software as required by the solution.
• Identify and log problems with detailed incident records.
• Coordinate with client IT, carriers and colleagues to diagnose issues.
• Investigate second-line incidents and determine root causes.
• Respond to alerts and escalate to L3 when needed.
• Keep incidents updated with progress and resolution details.
• Ensure timely and comprehensive resolution of incidents and requests.
• Track and report changes to config items using required tools.
• Investigate system/process/service problems and implement remedies.
• Provide second-line remote and onsite support to clients.
• Escalate issues to third-party vendors when necessary.
• Follow handover procedures for shift changes to maintain continuity.
