Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) to join our team in Malaysia. You will conduct on-site installation, maintenance and repair of Semiconductor E.O.L.

equipment, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions. The role requires a diploma or degree in engineering and proven field service experience, with strong communication, time management, and willingness to travel to Ipoh and Penang.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or similar technical field support role.
Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues on E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment.
Excellent communication to explain technical info to non-technical clients.
Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple service calls.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang).
Physical capability for hands-on engineering work and lifting equipment as required.
Commitment to health and safety standards and compliance regulations.
Customer service orientation with focus on quality support.
Preferred: Certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment.
Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance and servicing per schedules and protocols.
Document all work with detailed service reports and maintenance records.
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures.
Maintain and manage field equipment and tools in working order.
Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and improvements.
Provide technical guidance and support to clients on equipment operation and best practices.
Travel to various client sites across the region as required.
