Job summary

Maxis in Malaysia seeks a Field Network Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot our mobile network infrastructure across sites, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will handle site configurations, preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics, and incident resolution within SLAs while collaborating with planning, operations and support teams.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or CS, at least 3 years in network field

Qualifications

Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum 3 years in network field operations for telecoms, preferably with mobile operators.
Experience with cellular technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) including RAN and transmission systems.
Familiarity with vendors (Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia) and driving license.
Willingness to travel across assigned areas and perform field work.

Responsibilities

Perform configuration and troubleshooting of network equipment at various sites.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and inspections of network infrastructure.
Diagnose faults and outages, identify root causes and implement actions.
Respond to incidents within defined SLAs and coordinate with teams to ensure service delivery.
Maintain site documentation, diagrams, and equipment inventories.
