Job summary

Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Network Field Operations Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot our mobile network across sites.

You will configure and troubleshoot base stations, routers, switches, and transmission systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document site diagrams and inventory. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in a related field, 3+ years in telecom field ops, experience with 2G-5G and RAN/transmission systems, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network field operations within telecoms.
• Experience with cellular technologies (2G-5G) and RAN/transmission systems.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Perform configuration and troubleshooting of network equipment (base stations, routers, switches, transmission systems) at various sites.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks and inspections on network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network faults and outages and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and alarms within defined SLAs.
• Collaborate with planning, operations and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, network diagrams and inventory records.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required.
