Job summary

Ideal Vision Integration Sdn Bhd, based in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an Application Support Engineer to support on-site AOI and machine vision systems. You will set up, test, troubleshoot and fine-tune hardware, and train customers in operation and maintenance.

You will also integrate lighting, controllers, cameras and optics, perform feasibility evaluations, and report progress daily to customers and teams. Willingness to travel locally and abroad is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or postgraduate in engineering preferred (Electrical/Electronic).
• Chinese language proficiency preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting on equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of machine vision, image processing, motion control is a plus.
• 1–2 years of related field experience preferred.
• Must be responsible, able to work independently with initiative and good interpersonal skills.
• Disciplined with strong time management, multi-tasking and prioritization.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas as required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite system setup and testing for AOI machine and other machine vision systems.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance to customers.
• Perform minor and basic mechanical fine-tuning in-house and on-site.
• Integrate and configure machine vision hardware (lighting, controller, camera, lenses).
• Conduct customer training on system operation, basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform sample evaluations to study machine vision and motion control feasibility.
• Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure tasks are followed up on-site.
• Submit daily activity reports via email to customers and teams.
