Job summary

ESTEK Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Application Engineer in Batu Kawan, Penang, to deliver on-site technical support and solutions for our automation offerings. You will install, configure, commission systems, troubleshoot field issues, train customers, and document configurations while coordinating with the internal engineering team.

A Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required, with 2–5 years in field engineering and a willingness to travel within Penang.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of field engineering experience in automation or industrial equipment.
• Strong ability to read drawings, schematics and system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission automation systems at client sites.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment issues.
• Conduct on-site training for customers on system operation.
• Document configurations, installations and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with internal engineering team to address requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and optimisations.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and cost savings.
• Maintain records of field visits and interventions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of installation and support processes.
