Test Research Innovation Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a technology company specializing in semiconductor test, inspection, and manufacturing support solutions. We provide on-site service, installation, maintenance, and application support for PCBA testing and semiconductor inspection equipment across Malaysia.

We are expanding our Field Application Engineering team in Penang and seek motivated engineers to support customers in production and R&D environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or equipment support.
• Experience with semiconductor test, AOI/inspection, PCBA manufacturing support is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and qualification support for semiconductor test/inspection systems.
• Support customer production line troubleshooting (hardware, software, and process-related issues).
• Perform system calibration, preventive maintenance, and failure analysis.
• Work closely with customer Process, Equipment, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support PCB/PCBA test systems, ICT/FCT, AOI, or related inspection equipment.
• Assist in test fixture debugging and system integration activities.
• Provide training and technical guidance to customers on equipment usage.
• Document technical issues, solutions, and field service reports.
• Collaborate with internal engineering team for escalation and product improvement feedback.
• Travel to customer sites within Penang and other regions when required.

We provide technical service, installation, maintenance, and application support for PCBA testing and semiconductor inspection equipment, serving customers across the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem in Malaysia and the region.

We are expanding our engineering team in Penang and are looking for passionate Field Application Engineers to support our customers in production and R&D environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and qualification support for semiconductor test/inspection systems
• Support customer production line troubleshooting (hardware, software, and process-related issues)

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or equipment support
• Experience in any of the following is a strong advantage:
  • Semiconductor test (ATE / ICT / FCT)
  • AOI / inspection systems
  • PCBA manufacturing support
  • Automation or instrumentation equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on mindset with ability to work on equipment at customer sites
• Good communication skills with customer-facing experience
• Willing to travel locally and occasionally overseas
