Job summary

Teradyne in Penang, Malaysia seeks an experienced Test Engineer to develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for a range of semiconductor devices. You will provide on-site or remote application support and drive data-driven investigations to optimize high-volume manufacturing.

The role requires 2+ years of ATE experience, proficiency in multiple programming languages, and strong communication skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years semiconductors ATE experience.
• Proficient in Teradyne ATE platforms (UltraFLEX+, UltraFLEX, Flex, J750, Magnum, Eagle).
• Strong programming skills in VBA, VB, C, C++, C# or Python.
• Good written and verbal communication in English (and Chinese).
• Willing to travel locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and deployment of test solutions for Digital, High-Speed Digital, System on Chip, Mixed Signal and Analog semiconductor devices.
• Provide Application technical support on-site or remote to resolve issues related to Test hardware and software.
• Perform test correlation, yield analysis, and data-driven investigations to qualify and release test programs for high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience in Test program software development is a plus.
• Load board / probe card schematics design and layout review for a test solution.
• Analyze problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platform to optimize customer throughput.
• Work with test engineering customers to understand and improve test processes.
• Make recommendations to improve quality of test coverage.
• Demonstrate tester capability for customer evaluations.
• Assist customers on tester operation and capability.
• Provide training, technical exchanges and technical papers.

All About You

• Knowledge and experience on Teradyne ATE platforms, such as UltraFLEX+, UltraFLEX, Flex, J750, Magnum, Eagle or other semiconductor ATE platforms.
• Proficient in VBA, VB, C, C++, C# or Python
• Strong proven interpersonal skills, relationships-building skills and commitment to teamwork and “can-do” spirit.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Willing to travel locally and internationally.
