Job summary

Icontronic Technology is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join our Penang-based engineering team. The role focuses on on-site technical support, installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting to ensure successful product implementations and customer satisfaction.

You will work closely with customers, coordinate with product development, and conduct system testing and documentation while traveling to client sites and maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in field engineering, technical support, or systems implementation.
• Strong technical knowledge of project engineering principles and industrial systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex problems and diagnosing equipment faults.
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple field assignments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours.
• Valid driving license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Experience with technical documentation is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and project teams.
• Install, configure, and commission engineering systems and equipment at customer locations.
• Conduct system testing and performance validation to ensure products meet specifications.
• Document findings, configurations, and provide reports to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with customers and product development teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide training and guidance to customers on operation and maintenance procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular system inspections.
• Gather customer feedback to support product improvements.
• Maintain detailed records of field activities and interactions.
