Job summary
Test Research Innovation Malaysia Sdn Bhd is expanding its engineering team in Penang and seeks Field Application Engineers to support customers in production and R&D environments. The role covers installation, commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting, and collaboration with process and manufacturing teams.
Candidates should have a degree in Electrical & Electronics or related field and 3–5 years in semiconductor or electronics equipment support, with hands-on, customer-facing experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3–5 years in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or equipment support.
- Hands-on, customer-facing role with strong troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and qualification support for semiconductor test/inspection systems.
- Support customer production line troubleshooting (hardware, software, and process-related issues).
- Perform system calibration, preventive maintenance, and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with customer teams to resolve technical issues and improve products.
- Travel to customer sites within Penang and other regions as required.
- Provide training and technical guidance to customers on equipment usage.
