Job summary

FFM Berhad is seeking a Farm Operations Specialist – Breeder & Layer to support our farm operations team. The role will work at our breeder and layer facilities, ensuring production performance, SOP adherence and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in animal sciences and at least 5 years of poultry farming experience, with strong leadership and reporting skills. Training and development opportunities are provided while supporting multiple farms in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in poultry farming, livestock production, agriculture or related farm operations.
• Experience in breeder and/or layer farm operations will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of poultry production, flock management, biosecurity, farm husbandry and production performance monitoring.
• Willing to work in a farm environment, including weekends, public holidays or outside normal working hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Farm Manager in managing daily breeder and layer farm operations.
• Monitor flock performance, mortality, feed and water consumption, body weight and other production indicators.
• Support breeder farm activities, including flock performance and hatching egg production.
• Support layer farm activities, including egg production, egg quality, feed consumption and flock performance.
• Assist in implementing farm SOPs, biosecurity, farm hygiene, flock welfare and MyGAP requirements.
• Assist in manpower coordination, employee training and daily work activities.
• Monitor the effective utilisation of farm resources, equipment and facilities.
• Maintain accurate farm records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Identify operational issues and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Farm Manager, technical and veterinary teams, and other relevant departments.

Are you passionate about poultry farming, farm operations and developing your leadership skills?

We are looking for a motivated and committed Farm Operations Specialist – Breeder & Layer to join our Farm Operations team.The role will support the Farm Manager in achieving operational, financial and compliance targets, while ensuring effective farm performance, resource utilisation and continuous improvement.

Note: The successful candidate may be assigned to either our Trong (Perak) or Sua Betong (Negeri Sembilan) farm, depending on operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Husbandry, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in poultry farming, livestock production, agriculture or related farm operations
• Experience in breeder and/or layer farm operations will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of poultry production, flock management, biosecurity, farm husbandry and production performance monitoring
• Good leadership, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to manage manpower, farm resources and daily operational activities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Willing to work in a farm environment, including weekends, public holidays or outside normal working hours when required
• Strong interest in developing a career in poultry farm management
