FFM Berhad seeks an engineer to coordinate operational upgrades, automation projects, and application-based solutions across Malaysia sites. You will plan, implement, and monitor improvements within approved budgets and timelines, liaising with operations and management to ensure compliant project execution.
Open to fresh graduates or candidates with relevant experience, holding a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Software Engineering or equivalent.
Coordinate and execute operational and application- based improvement projects across group operations and associate sites within approved budget, timeline, and scope.
Lead or support feasibility studies, project evaluations, and improvement initiatives, includingdigital or application-based solutions.
Liaise closely with operations, supporting teams, and management teams to ensure effectiveand compliant project execution.
Prepare and review project scope, technical requirements, implementation plans, and progress updates for stakeholders.
Operational Upgrade, Automation, Apps Development & System Optimization
Plan and execute machinery upgrades, process improvements, automation initiatives, and application-based solutions across assigned operational areas.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve process efficiency, productivity, data visibility, decision-making, and operational control.
Support or coordinate automation, programming, and apps development initiatives.
Support development, enhancement, or deployment of: Operations or production monitoring apps; Data collection, reporting, or workflow apps; and Process control, tracking, or integration tools.
Coordinate with external developers, system integrators, IT teams, or vendors for complex automation or application development works.
Coordinate installation, system changes, or shutdown activities.
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, testing, commissioning, and optimisation during and after project implementation.
Commissioning, Continuous Improvement & General Support
Support operational stabilisation and continuous improvement initiatives across functions.
Support ad-hoc projects and provide technical or system expertise as required.
Perform any other relevant tasks or assignments as directed by management when necessary
AUTHORITIES :
Liaise with internal stakeholders: Operation, Project and Finance teams from various sister companies.
Liaise with external stakeholders: regulatory bodies, Consultants, Contractors and Vendors.
EDUCATION LEVEL / WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Software Engineering or equivalent from recognized institution.
Ability to work flexibly, relocation or assignment to different sister companies when required.
Open to fresh graduates and candidates with varying levels of relevant experience.
SKILLS PREFERED:
Basic understanding of industrial operations, manufacturing or processing workflows.
Basic knowledge of automation, systems integration, data flow or application-based solutions is an advantage.
Familiarity with Feed Mill Processes, ERP systems, HALAL, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 or similar operational standards is an advantage.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Good technical reporting, documentation, and presentation skills.
TRAINING REQUIRED:
Food Handling Awareness, HALAL, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 and related awareness.
Operational process training relevant to assigned site or project.
Internal Auditing and basic compliance awareness.
Project management, automation, digital tools, or application-related training as required.
