Job summary

Lam Research International Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a SET Factory Support Engineer to manage supplier quality escalations affecting factory operations in Penang.

You will evaluate risk to manufacturing build completion and customer shipment commitments, driving containment actions across plants and the supply chain. You will develop recovery action plans with suppliers, coordinating with Manufacturing, Engineering, SET and SCM to minimize disruption and safeguard on-time delivery while maintaining

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or science.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering/Operation/Quality Assurance in semiconductor industry.
• Understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and leadership with data-driven approach.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborates across Manufacturing, Engineering, SET and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact to support factory escalation from Lam factories.
• Review critical part quality issues and provide appropriate response/action plan.
• Initiate immediate containment action plan and provide timely response to all relevant stakeholders.
• Develop recovery action plan to prevent disruption to manufacturing and/or delay to tool shipment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, SET and Supply Chain teams to mitigate risks.
• Improve Product Quality and ensure Factory Output through systematic problem-solving initiatives.
