Samyou Environmental Technology Sdn. Bhd. is establishing a manufacturing presence in Malaysia and seeks a seasoned operations leader to drive strategic localisation, production excellence, and stringent quality management.

The role focuses on building scalable processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with global teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing operations, strong overseas experience in Southeast Asia, and fluency in Mandarin, Malay, and English.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above; engineering, manufacturing, management preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in operational management in manufacturing; 5+ years in plant management.

Responsabilidades

• Formulate long-term development plans for the factory based on Group strategy and local market characteristics.
• Lead localization of supply chains and talent; ensure compliance with expatriate/local ratio regulations.
• Oversee production operations; develop annual production plans to meet capacity, quality, and cost targets.
• Drive process optimization and technical innovation; establish and maintain ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Manage logistics, export activities, and compliance with Malaysian export regulations.
• Ensure EHS compliance with OSHA 1994 and ISO 45001; manage labour relations and risk.
• Prepare annual budgets, foster multicultural teamwork, and report to headquarters; coordinate technology transfers.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned by senior management.

RESPONSIBILITY

1. Strategic Planning and Localized Operations: Formulate long-term development plans for the factory based on the Groups overall strategy; adapt operational strategies to local market characteristics; lead the localization of supply chains and talent; and ensure compliance with regulations regarding the ratio of expatriateto local employees.

2. Production Operations and Quality Management: Oversee all aspects of factory production and operations; develop and execute annual production plans to meet targets for capacity, quality, and cost; drive process optimization and technical innovation; and establish and maintain a quality management system that adheres to international standards (such as ISO 9001) to ensure continuous improvement.

3. Supply Chain, Logistics, and Export Management: Manage logistics, production planning, and export activities, ensuring alignment between the supply chain and customer demand; ensure compliance with Malaysian export trade regulations (e.g., Certificates of Origin); optimize logistics costs; and coordinate local processes such as customs clearance and port transportation.

4. EHS and Compliance Risk Management: Assume full responsibility for EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) management, ensuring compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and standards such as ISO 45001; manage labour-related risks, maintain relations with labour unions, address employee grievances, prevent industrial action, and ensure compliance with the Industrial Relations Act; and monitor environmental compliance to avoid penalties from the Department of Environment (DOE/JAS) in Malaysia.

5. Financial Control, Team Building, and External Coordination: Develop annual budgets and monitor costs and expenses to ensure profitability targets are met; foster the integration of a multicultural team, enhancing employee retention through training and professional development; represent the factory in dealings with government agencies and other stakeholders; develop contingency plans for emergencies; and provide regular reports to headquartersandcoordinate technology transfers.

6. Execute any other tasks or duties as assigned by senior management/superior from time to time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or above; degrees in engineering, manufacturing, management, or related fields are preferred.

Experience: At least 10 years of operational management experience in a manufacturing plant, including at least 5 years in a comprehensive plant management role. Experience in establishing overseas manufacturing facilities or managing operations in Southeast Asia is a plus.

Professional Knowledge: Familiarity with Malaysian labor laws, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations, and export trade requirements; well-versed in international standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

Language Skills: Mandarin, Malay and English.

Core Competencies: Strong skills in cross-cultural management, government and stakeholder relations, crisis and emergency management, as well as cost control and profitability management.

Other: Must be willing to be based in Serendah, Selangor, Malaysia. Possess strong resilience under pressure and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
