Job summary

Samyou Environmental Technology Sdn. Bhd. is building its maintenance team in Malaysia to support HVAC manufacturing and related products. The role focuses on supervising, troubleshooting, upkeep and repair of production machines to ensure quality, safety and efficiency in the facility.

You will lead daily maintenance tasks, manage breakdowns, install new equipment, and develop SOPs while coordinating with HR and production to meet targets in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience with hands-on electrical/mechanical exposure.
Experience in manufacturing/HVAC/appliance factories preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical drives, safety standards.
Chargeman or equivalent competency certificate.
Strong leadership and supervision skills.
Extended hours may be required to support production demand.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to respond quickly during breakdowns and emergencies.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Daily maintenance, upkeep and repair of all production machines, equipment and tools.
Maintain factory fire protection facilities.
Ensure utility supplies (water, electricity, gas) are serviced.
Update and keep equipment records.
Manage unplanned breakdowns and downtime data.
Install, commission and supervise new equipment.
Compile monthly statistics.
Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
Request spare parts and manage stores.
Handle plumbing and electrical works.
Prepare SOPs for maintenance and conduct training.
Prepare maintenance checklists and filing.
Monitor attendance and overtime of juniors.
Report attendance irregularities to HR.
Handle disciplinary matters per policy with HR coordination.
Maintain 5S and housekeeping at own workstation.
Ensure safety, health and environmental procedures are followed.
Adhere to company policies and laws; perform other duties as assigned.
