Job summary

AEM Microtronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and teamwork.

The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, policy development, vendor liaison, and staff recruitment while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or relevant professional qualifications.
• At least 5 years in a related field in a middle-management position.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 certification requirements is advantageous.
• Ability to lead, manage, and build a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate staff performance; establish rules and procedures; create work schedules.
• Manage the operating budget and future purchases with a cost-conscious mindset.
• Represent the company in meetings and at committees to drive business objectives.
• Make decisions on risk, quality, delays, client dissatisfaction, and employee issues to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or relevant professional qualifications.

Desired Qualifications: Business/Operations Management.

Core Skills: Manufacturing Management (Advanced level).

Additional Skills: Financial management, knowledge of ISO 9001 certification requirements, familiarity with equipment assembly and precision engineering products (advantageous).

Relevant Experience: At least 5 years in a related field in a middle-management position.

Leadership Traits: Able to work well under pressure, ability to lead and manage, team building.

Personality Profile: Good communicator, strong leadership, teamwork, responsible, willing to take challenges and be helpful, positive thinking.

Computer Literacy: MS Office.

Language Proficiency: English, Malay, and Mandarin (advantageous).

Other Requirements: An existing Production Manager with strong working experience can be considered for this position
