Job summary

MIPO PLANTATIONS SDN BHD in Banting, Selangor is seeking a Factory Maintenance Technician for a full-time role to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities to keep production smooth and efficient.

Responsibilities include electrical and mechanical maintenance, welding and fabrication, PM/CM routines, and documentation. Hostel is provided for outstation candidates. Minimum 2 years' experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical skills in electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to maintenance and repair.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with production team to understand maintenance requirements and priorities and support installation & commissioning.
• Welding and fabrication to repair frames, fixtures, and structures.
• Electrical maintenance: troubleshoot, repair, and replace motors, relays, sensors, and PLC inputs/outputs; diagnose 3-phase circuits.
• Machinery repair: diagnose malfunctions in conveyors, presses, packaging machines; repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning to prevent downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, parts replacements, and daily production output.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Factory Maintenance Technician to join our team at MIPO PLANTATIONS SDN BHD in Banting, Selangor. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

Core Responsibilities

Communicate With Production Team:To understand maintenance requirements and priorities and support the implementation of new equipments / systems , assist with installation & commissioning.

Welding & Fabrication:Perform welding and metal cutting (plasma/torch) to repair broken machine frames, fixtures, and structures. Fabricate, drill, and install brackets, guards, and supports to address wear and tear.

Electrical Maintenance:Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components such as motors, contactors, relays, switches, sensors, and PLC inputs/outputs. Diagnose and repair 3-phase circuits and electrical malfunctions.

Machinery Repair:Diagnose malfunctions & trouble shoot in production equipment (conveyors, presses, packaging machines) and repair mechanical systems, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components/systems.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance (PM):Conduct routine inspections & maintenance checks such as lubrication, and cleaning of equipment to identify potential failures on production machinery, equipment and facilities before they cause downtime.

Safety & Compliance:Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Documentation:Keep accurate logs of machine maintenance, parts replacements, and daily production output

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
