Job summary

MENICON MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an Accounting & Finance Executive focused on costing and inventory management.

You will review product costing, monitor variances, and ensure accurate month-end closing. Responsibilities include BOM and routing analysis, factory overhead allocation, and regular inventory counts. The role requires a diploma or degree in accounting/finance with at least 2 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance or higher.
• Preferable minimum 2 years of working experience in manufacturing industry.
• Self-motivated, highly responsible, committed, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Costing and inventory management knowledge, Microsoft Excel, ERP proficiency, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review product costing, including BOM, routing, material, labour, and machine costs.
• Monitor production/work order costs and variances and investigate abnormal usage.
• Analyse material, labour, overhead, yield, scrap, and rework variances.
• Ensure work orders are properly ended and financially closed.
• Perform factory overhead allocation and monitor overhead absorption.
• Monitor material consumption, production efficiency, yield, scrap, and wastage.
• Prepare monthly costing and variance reports for management.
• Conduct monthly inventory stock counts and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Perform month-end inventory evaluation and closing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Reconcile inventory balances with the General Ledger and monitor inventory adjustments.
• Support other costing, inventory, and month-end closing activities as required.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the superior.
