Job summary

TECO Electric & Machinery Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Facility & Service Engineer to maintain factory facilities and equipment, and to provide technical support for customer sites. You will support the Sales Engineer, perform preventive and corrective tasks, and coordinate with external contractors.

The role requires a technical Diploma/Degree, 2–3 years of relevant experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance or industrial environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Well-versed in PowerPoint with good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of factory facilities and equipment (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting).
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve facility or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, HSE requirements and standards.
• Support Sales Executive/Engineer with servicing, troubleshooting, and site visits.

We are urgently looking for a hands‑on Engineer to support factory maintenance and provide technical service support for equipment and customer site activities. Job Purpose

The Facility & Service Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and upkeep of factory facilities and equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role also provides technical and operational support to the Sales Executive / Engineer, including servicing, troubleshooting, customer site visits, and related technical support activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance & Support

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of factory facilities and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC/air-conditioning, plumbing, and lighting systems.
• Support factory setup, equipment installation, servicing, and general maintenance activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve facility or equipment issues to minimize operational downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities and equipment are in good working condition.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repair and maintenance work.
• Maintain maintenance records, service reports, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, HSE requirements, and operational standards.

Service & Technical Support

• Assist Sales Executive / Engineer in servicing, troubleshooting, and technical support activities.
• Support customer site visits, equipment servicing, installation, and demonstrations.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and hands‑on support for equipment and systems when required.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and technical documentation for service assignments.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers on technical matters.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in facility maintenance, equipment servicing, or industrial environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Experience in equipment servicing and troubleshooting will be an added advantage.
• Well verse of Power Point.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Good analytical and coordination abilities.
• Safety‑conscious with good understanding of HSE practices and requirements.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Willing to support both factory operations and external technical service activities.
