Job summary

Dunham-Bush Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations and maintenance of HV/LV electrical systems and to drive TPM initiatives. You will manage energy use, budgets, and external vendors while leading a facilities team to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.

The role requires a diploma/degree in electrical engineering or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience and strong analytical and managerial skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering or Facilities Management.
• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Power Transmission or related field.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving and managerial skills.
• TPM knowledge is mandatory.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Chinese language proficiency is required for liaison with stakeholders in China.
• Electrical Engineering background and HV/LV substation experience are advantages.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Facilities Operations & Maintenance activities.

• Ensure effective preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of facilities and equipment.
• Manage energy consumption and achieve year-on-year reduction target.
• Develop and implement the annual facilities maintenance plan.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and government regulations.
• Manage facilities budget, cost control and external vendors/contractors.
• Identify equipment failures and upgrade opportunities.
• Monitor equipment performance and minimize breakdowns and disruptions.
• Lead TPM implementation.
• Develop Facilities team to ensure performance and stability.
• Support continuous improvement and carry out duties by HOD.

Job description

Manage daily Facilities Operations & Maintenance activities.

Oversee the factory’s HV/LV electrical systems, power distribution, generators, transformers, switchboards and related equipment.

Ensure effective preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of facilities and equipment.

Manage energy consumption and achieve the targeted 5% year-on-year reduction.

Develop and implement the annual facilities maintenance plan.

Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and government regulations.

Manage facilities budget, cost control and external vendors/contractors.

Identify equipment failures, replacement needs and opportunities for equipment upgrades and improvements.

Monitor equipment performance and minimize breakdowns and operational disruptions.

Lead TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation.

Manage, evaluate and develop the Facilities team to ensure effective performance and workforce stability.

Support continuous improvement and carry out other duties assigned by the HOD.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering or Facilities Management.

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Power Transmission or related field.
