Job summary

PTT Synergy Group Berhad, a leader in IoT and AI-driven automated warehousing, seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer Lead in Penang to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for ASRS systems. You will manage a team of technicians, perform root cause analysis, and ensure safety and service quality in daily operations.

Your role demands hands-on problem solving, strong communication, and a proactive approach to maintaining complex equipment while meeting customer expectations and SLA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar field.
• Hands-on experience in ASRS equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and customer-focused attitude.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Penang.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of daily Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance schedules for ASRS equipment and building facilities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure records are up to date.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the technician team in delivering maintenance services per SLA, including timely escalation and incident reporting.
• Communicate with customers on daily operations, equipment breakdowns, and maintenance activities, managing expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of daily Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance activities.

• Maintain maintenance schedules for ASRS equipment and building facilities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure equipment maintenance records are kept up to date.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Lead the technician team in delivering all maintenance services in accordance with the customer's Service Level Agreement (SLA), including timely escalation of incidents, reporting to the monitoring centre within the stipulated timeframe, and submission of written incident reports within 24 hours.
• Communicate and engage closely with customers on daily operational matters, including equipment breakdowns and preventive and corrective maintenance activities, while effectively managing customer expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar field.
• Hands-on experience in ASRS equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and customer-focused attitude.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Penang.
