Job summary

Powertech M&E Sdn Bhd is seeking an energetic Facility Engineer to oversee daily operations and maintenance across sites, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with company standards.

The role requires hands-on supervision of M&E works, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate interfaces and risk mitigation within a fast-paced building environment.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Electrical background / Chargeman
• Chargeman certificate is an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on site supervision of M&E works in building maintenance

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination of maintenance building management staff allocated to a project and manage team performance.
• Deliver agreed mechanical & electrical building performance targets for defined projects.
• Ensure adherence to all company management systems and license conditions.
• Manage all onsite interfaces and de-conflict tasks and mitigate risks.
• Ensure mechanical, electrical & building services activities comply with legal requirements.
• Support management throughout the project duration.
• Provide maintenance and technical advice as required.
• Ensure risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work meet company requirements.
• Accurate reporting of maintenance activities affecting progress and quality.
• Maintain records of all work activities.
• Ensure M&E contractors comply with approved design and Safe System of Work and EH&S regulations.
• Aid early identification and notification of variances for processing through project team.
• Respond to client or contractor feedback.
• Manage M&E staff as required in support of project objectives.
• Provide daily safety inspection reports for each project.
• Attend emergency calls at projects when needed.

We are seeking an energetic and innovative individual to join our team as a Facility Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities across all sites, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with company standards.

Job Descriptions:

• To provide leadership and coordination of maintenance building management staffs allocated to a project and manages the performance of the team.
• For ensuring delivery of agreed mechanical & electrical building performance targets for the defined project or projects.
• To ensure adherence to all company management systems and license conditions.
• To manage all onsite interfaces and de – conflict tasks and alleviate risks.
• To ensure that all mechanical, electrical & building services activities on the project comply with all legal requirements.
• To be proactively involved in supporting the Management throughout the duration of the project.
• To provide maintenance and technical advice as required in the projects.
• To ensure that mechanical & electrical risk assessments and safe systems of work submitted by contractors/others meet the requirements of the company management systems.
• To undertake accurate reporting of all maintenance activities and issues which affect the progress and quality and which provide a reflection of the contractor's performance against the agreed contract program.
• To maintain appropriate records of all work activities.
• To ensure that mechanical & electrical contractors and their operatives comply with the approved design documentation and agreed Safe System of Work, together with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
• To aid the early identification and notification of contract variances, ensuring they are fully recorded, to be processed through the project management team.
• To respond to client or contractor feedback.

Job Requirements:

1. 1. Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Electrical background / Chargeman.
2. 2. Having a Chargeman certificate is an added advantage.
3. 3. Minimum 3 years of working experience hands-on site supervision of M&E works in BUILDING MAINTENANCE filed is required.
4. 4. Have strong leadership skills, responsible for coaching, resolving issues & serving as a link between the staff & client.
5. 5. Enjoy working in a team as well as independently.
