We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Technician to join our team in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of our facility infrastructure, equipment, and building systems. You will handle routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and execute prompt repairs to minimize downtime and ensure a safe, efficient working environment.
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs across building facilities, equipment, and utility systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve general electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues as they arise.
Perform general handy-work, minor construction, painting, and structural upkeep.
Monitor building systems performance and report any major faults, safety hazards, or infrastructure upgrades needed to management.
Coordinate with external contractors, service providers, and vendors for specialized technical repairs and maintenance projects.
Ensure all maintenance operations strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental compliance regulations and company policies.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, managing requisitions as necessary.
Certificate, Diploma, or relevant vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.
Proven experience working as a Facilities Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Handyperson within a commercial, industrial, or residential facility setting.
Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across various building trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
Familiarity with local occupational health and safety (OH&S) standards and compliance procedures.
Good communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness to handle occasional on-call or urgent maintenance requests when required.
