Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Facilities Section Manager to oversee facility, utility, construction, and maintenance activities for our manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will ensure reliable plant utilities, safety, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization through strong project management and cross‑department collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 8 years in facilities or manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in facilities, utilities, construction, maintenance, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of plant utilities, M&E, HVAC, electrical systems, CDA, building maintenance, and facility management.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and plan efficient utility systems and facility infrastructure to support manufacturing processes and production requirements.
• Manage and monitor construction works, building maintenance, and facility operations, including electrical systems, HVAC, CDA (Compressed Dry Air) and other plant utilities.
• Manage and monitor daily construction and facility activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Ensure construction and facility operations comply with company requirements, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Develop and manage timelines for building construction, renovation, maintenance, CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) works.
• Propose, review, and improve methodologies, technical specifications, and drawings for plant utility installation and building renovation.
• Monitor and control utility and energy consumption to improve operational efficiency and achieve cost savings.
• Ensure all construction and facility systems are operated safely and comply with government and statutory requirements.
• Participate in and control the budget for facility operations, maintenance, improvement, and related projects.
• Coordinate and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Facilities team and other departments.
