Agensi Pekerjaan Line Recruits Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer based in Senai, Johor. The role focuses on maintaining facilities, HVAC, electrical and safety systems, with responsibilities spanning planning, supervision, and reporting.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, strong technical knowledge, and experience with contracts and vendors. A CePSTPO and energy management certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of facilities management or related maintenance experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of facilities systems.
• Contract and vendor management experience.
• Valid driver's license with willingness to travel within the facility premises.
• CePSTPO certification would be a plus.
• Registered energy manager-type 1 would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist FM Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing daily Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Act as main contact for FM service provider and manage SLAs.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly FM reports for management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent

CePSTPO certification (Certified Environmental Professional in Sewage Treatment Plant Operation)

Registered energy manager-type 1 (would be a plus)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Engineer. This is a full-time position based in Senai, Johor. As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. You will be responsible for the upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of our operations and supporting the productivity of our workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the FM Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of daily Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance activities.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, utilities, CDA, etc.).
• Act as the main point of contact for the FM service provider.
• Manage FM contract scope, deliverables, and KPIs/ Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of FM services.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits with EHS.
• Ensure facility complies with local authority requirements (e.g. fire safety, environmental, building regulations).
• Develop and manage CAPEX, OPEX and maintenance budgets.
• Lead projects, upgrades, and retrofit works.
• Coordinate with engineering and IE teams for expansion or modifications.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports for management review.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or a related maintenance role.
• Strong technical knowledge of facilities systems.
• Contract and vendor management expertise.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the facility premises.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document work clearly.
• Certified Environmental Professional in Sewage Treatment Plant Operation (CePSTPO) would be a plus.
• Registered energy manager-type 1 would be a plus.
• Hands‑on experience for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issue.
