Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance & Facility Manager for Kulai, Johor to lead the plant's maintenance and facilities operations. You will oversee equipment, utilities, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Engineering and at least 7 years of experience, with knowledge of high voltage systems, compressed air, and DOE requirements. You will manage a team and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing plant facility and maintenance.
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and compressed air.
• Experience with setting up and implementing preventive maintenance for machinery and facility equipment.
• Understanding of DOE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall management of plant equipment and facilities.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities systems are in good condition.
• Establish and execute a preventive maintenance system.
• Plan upgrades to machinery and facilities for efficiency and safety compliance.
• Support new equipment setups including layout and pre-commissioning.

• Monitor utilities consumption and identify cost savings.

We are a multi-national company involved developing, manufacturing and marketing for intelligent and ergonomic products, located in I-park Industrial area, Kulai, Johor. We are looking to hire for Maintenance & Facility Manager.

You will play an important role in:

• Responsible for the overall management of the plant equipment and facilities.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities system are always in good condition.
• Establish a good Preventive Maintenance system and ensure its execution
• Propose and execute upgrades/modification of machinery and facility equipment's where necessary for better efficiency and compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Support new equipment set-ups by preparing the layout, utilities, site readiness, machine positioning and pre-commissioning readiness.
• Promptly attend to equipment and machinery failure for investigation and corrective action to ensure speedy restoration to production state.
• Manage and control stocks of equipment and facilities spare parts.
• Responsible for planning and executing projects as required by other departments or management
• Monitor utilities consumption and suggest cost savings measures.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to carry out all the maintenance and facility activities
• Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with the government regulations
• Support project/renovations by giving input from maintenance perspective and working with supplier to ensure projects are done according to plan.
• Plan and execute shift arrangements including overtime arrangement
• Monitor the subordinate's performance to ensure tasks are executed according to plan
• Monitor discipline within the team and take necessary action where needed.
• Any task assigned to the company requirement within general job scope of maintenance and facility department.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

• Diploma or Degree in any Engineering field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing plant facility and maintenance
• Knowledge in building high voltage electrical systems and compressed air
• Knowledge in facility equipment such as compressed air system, fire system, gas supply, pumps, MSB, electrical system
• Knowledge of general working concept of machinery
• Knowledge in setting up and implementing Preventive Maintenance for machinery and facility equipment
• Understanding of DOE requirement
• Knowledge of WWTP required
