Job summary

Cofreth in Malaysia is hiring a Facilities Manager to implement and enforce SOPs, ISO standards and industry best practices across site operations. You will develop a preventive maintenance program and lifecycle planning, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality service delivery.

The role demands a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least five years' experience in facilities management for large facilities, with strong communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and relevant certifications are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management for high-rise, mall or industrial sites.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills; professional certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce House Rules, SOPs, ISO standards and industry best practices.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive facility management program including preventive maintenance.
• Conduct facility inspections, maintain documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee essential facility services such as security, cleaning, food court operations and waste management.
• Support planning and execution of special projects, including reporting on progress.
• Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with clients on project status, attend meetings and prepare reports.
• Strive to meet and exceed KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce House Rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO standards and industry best practices to ensure efficient site operations
• Develop and execute a comprehensive facility management program, including preventive maintenance and life-cycle planning
• Conduct regular facility inspections, maintain proper documentation and ensure full compliance with health, safety and industry regulations
• Oversee and manage essential facility services such as security, cleaning, food court operations and waste management
• Support the planning and execution of special projects (e.g., defect rectification), including implementation and reporting
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns, ensuring all issues are addressed with professionalism and care
• Liaise with clients on project progress, including attending meetings and queries, analysis of data and documentation and preparation of reports
• Consistently strive to meet and exceed established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management or maintenance of high-rise buildings, shopping malls, or industrial facilities
• Excellent oral, writing and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Hardworking and results-oriented
• Professional Engineers (PE), postgraduate degree, or other relevant certifications are an added advantage
