Job summary

JLL in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a facilities operations professional to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of all building systems, including site inspections and tenant comfort. You will supervise the operating team, coordinate with the site Manager, manage vendor engagements, and ensure safety and SOP adherence across HVAC, electrical, and fire systems.

This role requires 1–2 years in engineering and maintenance supervision, data centre exposure is a plus, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• HVAC and electrical engineering training is helpful.
• 1-2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance supervision and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day efficient operations and maintenance of all building systems, including site inspections.
• Supervise the operating team and inform the site Manager of any conditions affecting services and tenant comfort.
• Implement Critical Environment Management program and develop annual maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with managers and data centre personnel to schedule preventive maintenance and off-line work.
• Monitor electrical and mechanical equipment, analyze system performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare M&E reports, ensure safety protocols and site SOPs are followed, and respond to alarms 24/7.
• Prepare preliminary and post-incident reports and liaise with regional teams on engineering matters.
• Troubleshoot minor engineering issues and escalate to vendors when necessary.

Duties And Responsibilities
Critical Environment Management (CEM)

• The implementation of the client’s & JLL’s Critical Environment Management program.
• Supervises and directs critical operation staff.
• Develop annual maintenance plan.
• Will work with the Manager and data centre personnel to schedule equipment to be taken off line so that preventative maintenance can be performed.
• Monitors operation of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting the facility and facility’s critical operations.
• Requires the ability to analyse the operation of the various systems, determine the cause of any problem / malfunctions and corrective action as required.
• Proficiency in writing M&E related report and finding
• Ensure Safety protocol are adhered to JLL requirement
• Ensure operation staff adhered to the site specific Standard Operating procedure
• Available 24/7 and respond to any alarm within agreed timeline
• Provide preliminary and post incident report for any incident within agreed timeline
• Provide reports on the engineering matters to Regional team on timely manner
• Troubleshoot any minor engineering matter and elevate to vendor if support required
  

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS
KEY COMPETENCIES

• Education - Diploma or Bachelors Degree education, 1-2 years in trades or equivalent. HVAC and electrical engineering training helpful
• Job Experience - 1-2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance supervision and management
• Experience in data centre management is an advantage
• Experience in vendor management, procurement and
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
• Special knowledge and skills - Exposure to HVAC, mechanical, electrical and fire systems.
• Must be proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office.
