Job summary

Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club is seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage supervisor to assist in managing daily operations across restaurant, banquet, room service and other outlets in Miri, Malaysia. The role focuses on ensuring efficient service, consistent guest satisfaction and effective cost control.

Responsibilities include supervising breakfast, lunch and dinner service, coordinating with kitchen and events teams, checking cleanliness and stock, handling guest feedback, and training

Qualifications

• Maintain friendly, attentive and professional service standards.
• Monitor food and beverage wastage, breakages, stock usage and overtime.
• Ensure stock counts, requisitions and purchasing requests are accurate and properly authorised.
• Check billing accuracy and adherence to cashier, discount, void and complimentary procedures.
• Ensure staff follow established food hygiene, cleaning and safe working procedures.
• Check the cleanliness of service areas, storage spaces and equipment.
• Maintain daily operational records covering sales, manpower, complaints, incidents and outstanding matters.

Responsibilities

• Supervise breakfast, lunch and dinner service, ensuring adequate staffing and timely preparation before each service period.
• Be present during peak hours to guide the team, monitor service and resolve operational issues.
• Check outlet cleanliness, table settings, equipment, stock availability and staff grooming before opening.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen on food availability, presentation, service timing and buffet replenishment.
• Ensure opening, closing and shift handover procedures are completed properly.
• Coordinate with the Banquet and Sales teams on event requirements, manpower and service arrangements.
• Review Event Orders and brief staff on menus, guest numbers, timing, setup and special requests.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly within delegated authority and elevate serious complaints to Management.
• Prepare duty rosters according to business volume and approved manpower requirements.
• Train staff on menu knowledge, service procedures, hygiene, upselling and complaint handling
