SGI Vacation Club Berhad, based in Lumut, Perak, is seeking a dedicated F&B Assistant for a full-time role. You will contribute to delivering exceptional food and beverage services, ensuring guest experiences are memorable and aligned with our hospitality standards.

The role requires strong guest service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Shift flexibility, including weekends and public holidays, is expected as part of providing excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or F&B is desirable.
• Strong communication and guest interaction skills.
• High standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible to shifts including weekends/public holidays.
• Goal is to deliver outstanding customer service and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and presentation of food and beverages.
• Set and clear dining tables; ensure cleanliness and presentation.
• Take guest orders accurately and relay to kitchen/bar staff promptly.
• Serve food and drinks with courtesy and professionalism.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene in dining and bar areas.
• Restock glassware, cutlery, napkins and service essentials.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as required.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns positively.
• Support F&B team with inventory and reporting shortages.
• Adhere to health, safety and food hygiene regulations at all times.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated F&B Assistant to join our team at SGI Vacation Club Berhad. This is a full-time position based in Lumut, Perak, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and beverage services to our guests. As an F&B Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring that every guest experience is memorable, contributing directly to the success of our hospitality operations and the overall satisfaction of our valued clientele.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Setting and clearing dining tables, ensuring they are clean, organised and properly decorated before and after service
• Taking guest orders accurately and delivering them to the kitchen or bar staff in a timely manner
• Serving food and beverages to guests with courtesy, attentiveness and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the dining and bar areas
• Restocking supplies such as glassware, cutlery, napkins and other service essentials
• Assisting with event setup and breakdown as required
• Responding promptly to guest requests and enquiries, resolving any concerns with a positive attitude
• Supporting the F&B team in maintaining inventory and reporting any shortages
• Adhering to health, safety and food hygiene regulations at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a hospitality, food and beverage or catering environment is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, carry items and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability, punctuality and a flexible approach to shift work, including weekends and public holidays
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating positive guest experiences
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of basic food and beverage service procedures and etiquette is advantageous
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in the hospitality industry
