Job summary

Dynamic Building System Sdn Bhd is seeking an External Affairs & Government Relations Officer to join our Kuching, Sarawak team. This full-time role bridges DBS with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders, supporting strategic objectives and regulatory engagement.

The position emphasizes permits, customs, and compliance, with a focus on timely approvals, JIT deliveries, and local collaboration. English and Bahasa Malaysia skills are essential; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in government liaison or public affairs.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; Bahasa Malaysia a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple permit applications and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Sarawak state and local authority structures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and track permits and approvals needed in Sarawak.
• Handle customs clearance at Kuching Port for project cargo; manage forwarders.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents and JKDM declarations.
• Ensure timely container release to meet JIT schedules.
• Obtain staff work permits under Sarawak immigration rules.
• liaise with JPJ, police, and road authorities for oversize deliveries.
• Support DOSH inspections and site registrations with SHO.
• Address public complaints and coordinate with project leadership.
• Build relations with local suppliers and training providers.
