Job summary

Sime Darby Motors in Malaysia seeks a Warranty Administrator to support the Warranty Department in implementing policy and SOPs across service dealers. You will assist in ensuring policy alignment with BYD principal terms and prepare weekly and monthly warranty reports.

You will train branches and dealers on warranty processes, conduct audits, maintain aging debt under 60 days, and handle warranty cases within 3 working days, contributing to customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with warranty processes and procedures preferred.
• Understanding of SOPs and ability to ensure compliance.
• Ability to prepare reports and communicate warranty information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing warranty policy and procedures.
• Ensure SOPs are understood and followed by warranty team and dealers.
• Coordinate with principal to prevent rejections and losses in warranty activities.
• Create and implement warranty information/bulletins for dealers and educate on warranty handling.
• Assist in handling warranty department to improve performance and efficiency.
• Resolve customer complaints by coordinating with Accounts/Technical support/dealers.
• Provide warranty training for branches and dealers.
• Conduct warranty audits and report findings to ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly warranty reports.
• Maintain warranty rejection rate at national level.
• Manage warranty debt with BYD principal (<60 days) and timely claim settlements.
• Process warranty cases within 3 working days.

Job description

• Assist Superior in the implementation of Warranty Policy and Procedure from Principal to Service Dealer to avoid any discrepancy in warranty activities/ operation.


• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are well understood and practiced by the warranty team and authorized Service Dealers.


• Submit the BYD Principal, ensuring all information aligns with the terms and conditions to prevent potential rejections and losses in the Warranty Department


• Create and Implementing Warranty Information/ Bulletin to all authorized Service Dealer for warranty information and communicate to educate Service Dealers to handle warranty activities for customer satisfaction.


• Assist Superior in handling warranty department to improve work performance, productivity, and efficiency.


• Assist Superior in dealing / solving customer's complaint i.e. follow up and accelerate the matters to relevant department e.g. Account Dept, Technical support branches and authorized Service Dealers to solve and minimize problem and maximize productivity and efficiency.


• Provide Warranty Training for all Branches and Dealers to increase knowledge and reduce/ minimize mistakes for customer satisfaction.


• Handle warranty audit to Branches and Dealers, provide warranty audit report and ensure Branches and Dealers are obliged to the Warranty Policy and Procedure requirements.


• Prepare the weekly and monthly report.


• Maintain warranty rejection rate in national level.


• Maintain warranty debt from BYD principal less than 60 days and release claim settlement to service center in timely basis.


• Process all warranty cases within 3 working days.
