Job summary

Sime Darby Auto Connexion Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled automotive technician to perform service repairs and maintenance in both workshop and field settings in Penang, Malaysia. You will ensure accurate repair order entries and prepare detailed write-ups for each job.

Responsibilities include ordering and safeguarding parts, consulting service literature, and maintaining safe operation of diagnostic tools and tools.

Qualifications

• Education / Professional Qualification required
• Technical Certificate from MLVK
• Diploma in Automotive (Diagnostic Technician)
• Experience: Completed 3 years apprentice training OR 1–2 years as mechanic

Responsibilities

• Carry out service repair/maintenance jobs in the workshop and in the field on our products sold as instructed
• Close in and out every line in repair order that the technician works on
• Prepare write-up of job course and correction on the repair order
• Order parts for service job and safely keep faulty parts completing each service job to return to customer / warranty reference
• Refer to service literature for specific requirement
• Ensure the safe usage and storage of diagnostic tools, special Service Tools, garage tools and equipment
• Communicate with Job Controller, Customer Service Officer, Head of Aftersales for any additional repair required during carrying out any job
• Return Repair Order to Job Controller upon all job completion
• Environment, Safety and Health responsibility to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, whilst complying with local legal requirements

Job description

Return Repair Order to Job Controller upon all job completion.
