Job summary

Signature International Berhad is seeking an Executive/Senior Executive, Project Operations to on-site manage construction and residential interior fit-out activities in Kuala Lumpur. You will coordinate installation sequencing, liaise with project managers, main contractors, and designers, and ensure work adheres to drawings and schedules.

The role requires 1–3 years of site-based experience, reading drawings, and the ability to work extended hours on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, Building, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant site-based experience, preferably in construction or residential projects.
• Able to read drawings, carry out site measurements, and coordinate with contractors and installers.
• Willing to be site-based and work extended hours or weekends when required by project or handover schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site execution and installation activities for construction and residential interior fit-out projects, including hoisting, material delivery, distribution, and installation sequencing.
• Serve as the key liaison between Project Manager, main contractors, installers, suppliers, designers, and internal teams to ensure timely execution, clear communication, and issue resolution on site.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress, verify site conditions, and ensure installation works are carried out according to approved shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform site measurements and coordinate technical matters such as M&E routing, site obstructions, and design clarifications with the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor material procurement schedules, delivery timelines, and storage conditions, ensuring quantities and conditions are in accordance with Delivery Orders.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly site reports, including manpower deployment, work progress, site issues, and photo documentation.
• Manage site documentation, including RFI, SI, CVI, inspection records, defect lists, and progress tracking.
• Support mock-up installations, inspections, handover activities, and defects rectification processes, including coordination during VP and Defect Liability Period (DLP).
• Attend site meetings as required and provide accurate updates and follow-up actions to the Project Manager.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and driven Executive, Project Operations to support the execution of construction and residential interior fit-out projects. This role is heavily site-based and involves close coordination with project managers, main contractors, installers, and internal teams to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, schedules, and quality standards.

This position is suitable for candidates with site execution experience, preferably with exposure to construction-stage or residential projects. Candidates with an Interior Design background who are comfortable working on active construction sites and managing installation, defects, and handover processes will thrive in this role. Willing to work extended hours, weekends, or public holidays during critical construction phases, inspections, or handover periods, with replacement leave provided where applicable

Job Requirement

Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, Building, or related field

1–3 years of relevant site-based experience, preferable in construction or residential projects (e.g. condominium, high-rise, landed properties)

Experience supporting site execution, installation works, defects rectification or handover activities will be an advantage

Able to read drawings, carry out site measurements, and coordinate with contractors and installers

Good communication and coordination skills to work with project managers, main contractors, suppliers, and internal teams

Willing to be site-based and work extended hours or weekends when required by project or handover schedules
