Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce compliance with OSHA 1994 and EQA 1974.
• Manage day-to-day SHE operations across farm and factory.
• Oversee waste management, WWTP, and environmental programs.
• Lead HIRARC/HIRADC reviews and CAPA implementation.
• Maintain SHE documentation and regulatory reporting on time.
• Coordinate safety training and contractor safety management.

Under its massive expansion programme, we are currently looking for a diligent and experienced Executive (Safety, Health & Environment) with the opportunity to develop a professional future career growth within the group to be based at Jitra, Kedah.

Responsibilities :

OSHA & EQA Regulatory Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce compliance with OSHA 1994 (Amendments 2022), Environmental Quality Act 1974 (EQA), and related statutory requirements to mitigate legal risks and ensure zero authority penalties.

Safety & Health Operations: Execute day-to-day workplace safety management, conduct regular site inspections, enforce Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Permit-To-Work (PTW) system, and manage PPE compliance across farm and factory operations.

Environmental Operation & Waste Management: Oversee environmental programs including Scheduled Waste management , Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/IETS), Sewage, and Clean Air compliance.

Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation: Lead HIRARC/HIRADC reviews, conduct thorough incident/accident investigations, perform Root Cause Analysis , and implement effective Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).

SHE Management Systems: Support the establishment, internal auditing, document control, and continual improvement for EMS and toward OHSMS standards.

Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Health: Coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring , ergonomic assessments, and programs.

Production and Operation Oversight: Act as designated SHE Representative for the assigned production and operation, leading safe operational practices, hazardous chemical handling, waste management, and emergency response readiness.

Statutory Reporting & Authority Liaison: Maintain precise SHE documentation and ensure 100% on-time submission of mandatory regulatory reports to DOSH, DOE, and local authorities.

Safety Culture & Training: Coordinate safety induction, toolbox talks, contractor safety management, and SHE awareness/engagement programs.

Requirements :

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent discipline.

Competency / Certification:

Certified Environmental Competent Person (CePSWaM / CePIETSO / CePBESP) by EiMAS/DOE is an advantage.

Registered OSHC / Competence SHO is a strong advantage.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on working experience in integrated SHE functions within a manufacturing or industrial facility.

Technical Knowledge:

• Sound understanding of OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, FMA 1967, and subsidiary regulations.
• Practical knowledge in eSWIS, CEMS, IETS portal, and DOSH online systems (MyKKP).
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001 (OHSMS) and ISO 14001 (EMS) internal auditing.
• Key Skills: Strong site inspection and hazard recognition skills, RCA/CAPA methodology, technical report writing, and clear communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
