Job summary

DXN Holdings Bhd is seeking an Executive R&D Agriculture (Spirulina & Herbs) based in Jitra, Kedah. The role oversees post-harvest activities, processing schedules, and quality control to ensure product integrity from harvest through packaging.

The incumbent will lead a team, coordinate daily reporting, and ensure machinery safety and clean processing environments, while supporting related ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Agriculture or related field is required.
• Experience in agriculture, horticulture, or food production operations preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Experience supervising subordinates is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be in-charge of post-harvest activities for the section/department.
• Schedule post-harvest processing activities (crunching, drying).
• Ensure high quality of materials during processing, packaging and storage.
• Operate, clean and maintain processing machines.
• Ensure safety and security of processing machines and facilities.
• Maintain clean, pest-free post-harvest areas.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by Section Head.

Responsibilities

• To be in-charge of the post-harvesting activities for the section and department
• To schedule the post-harvest processing activities, such as crunching and drying
• To ensure all harvested plant materials are in best quality during processing
• To ensure all processed materials are in best quality during packaging and storage
• To ensure that all processing machines are properly operated, cleaned and maintained
• To be responsible of the safety aspects of the processing machines and facilities to avoid accidents and injuries
• To be responsible of the security aspects of the processing machines facilities to avoid theft and asset loss
• To ensure the post-harvest processing areas are clean and pest-free at all times
• To perform any other tasks (including ad hoc tasks) requested by Section Head

Requirements

• Qualification and education
• Minimum diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Science, or any other agriculture-related field.
• Experience
• At least 1 year of experience in agriculture, horticulture, or food production operations.
• Proven experience in supervising subordinates.
• Experience in nursery or plantation projects is a strong advantage.
• Experience in post-harvest processing is a strong advantage.
• Technical knowledge / skills
• Knowledge in plantings and post-harvesting activities is a must
• Skills in quality control, task monitoring, and equipment maintenance is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in preparing daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
• Computer literacy, particularly office software (word, spreadsheet, presentation)
• People's knowledge / skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and guide subordinates.
• Proactive, hands-on, and result-oriented with a focus on team productivity.
