Job summary

DXN Holdings Bhd is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support blood collection, patient care, and specimen processing at our Kedah facility. The role requires clinic-ready skills, accuracy, and a patient-centered approach to care.

The position emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols, accurate data entry, and collaboration with laboratory teams to ensure high-quality sample handling and timely results.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training: Completion of an accredited postsecondary phlebotomy training program.
• Certification: Valid Phlebotomy Technician certification (preferred or required by most employers).
• Soft skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication, compassion, and patience.
• Technical skills: Steady hand-eye coordination, detail-oriented mindset, and familiarity with lab safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Blood collection via venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Verify patient identification and address questions; provide comfort to nervous patients.
• Accurately label, store, and process specimens following lab protocols.
• Enter patient data, test codes, and logs into EMR or databases.
• Maintain sanitation and safety; adhere to universal precautions.

Job description

• Blood Collection: Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks using appropriate medical equipment.
• Patient Care: Verify patient identification, answer questions, and comfort nervous or distressed patients.
• Specimen Management: Accurately label, store, and process blood or other fluid samples (like urine) according to lab protocols.
• Data Entry: Enter patient information, test codes, and sample logs into electronic medical records (EMR) or databases.
• Sanitation & Safety: Sterilize equipment, maintain a clean workspace, and follow universal health and safety precautions
